Gilly has had a love for nature since she can remember. As a child, visiting almost every stately home and country house in England with her architect father, it was always the gardens that captivated her.
A Graphic Design Graduate from St. Martin's School of Art, Gilly had a long career as Designer and Art Director in Advertising, New Product Development and Publishing before the large garden of her London flat, re-awakened her love of nature and inspired it’s re-style.
A move to Harpenden and another horticultural challenge, sparked a decision to study Garden Design.
In the years since graduating in both Garden Design and Plants and Planting Design from Oaklands College, Gilly has spread her wings and achieved her ambition to create beautiful outside spaces with a sense of place.
The emphasis in Gilly’s design is in creating a simple, unified structure, within which the plants provide a succession of interest and natural beauty.
